About Department

          The department of chemistry is a well-equipped and biggest department in the college. It was established in 1984 and imparting quality education in the field of chemistry. In 2000 post graduate teaching department of chemistry was established with specialization in organic chemistry. The research lab of the department has been recognized in 2003 by SGBAU Amravati, for Ph. D. with capacity of 05 research students. Chemistry department is the heart of the institute with 75% students offering Chemistry. Teachers are actively engaged in teaching, Administrative work of the college. The three faculties in the department are actively working in research with interdisciplinary areas like Inorganic, Organic, Analytical, Physical Chemistry, through publications, guiding the PG students, research students and operating the research projects. The departmental library is having 272 books with different titles and authors the goal of the department is to make learning easy and create interest in the students.

          The laboratory is well equipped by latest instruments.The department involves the students in various research activities and research projects. The projects completed by the students have been presented in conferences, seminar in the form of research papers.Innovative teaching methodologies incorporated in the regular teaching program helps to develop and maintain student’s interest in chemistry like industry, research lab visit, and experiment demonstration, use of models, ChemiQuiz, group discussion Poster Presentation, and Guest lecture.Being HOD it’s my pleasure to wish great success to our students in Future.
