History

About Department:

         The Department of History of Jijamata Mahavidyalaya, Buldhana, came into existence with the beginning of the college itself since 1956. The college is located in the rural area and most of the villages are attached to the college. Therefore, most of the students who offered history as an optional subject, are from remote area where there is a little sense of History. But year after year student’s attendance and curiosity about the history has been increasing.

        To keep students in touch with Historical aspect, the Department forms “History Study Association” and organizes various programmes to give more information about history to the students

        The department gives personal attention to the students for preparation of competitive examination. The Department also helps the external students to prepare for SET, NET Exams that is mandatory to acquire lectureship in Senior College.

Aims and Objectives:

To promote and develop Historical awareness and value of rich cultural heritage of India.

To provide skill to the students to evaluate History.

To create the feeling of nationality

To increase the awareness among the students about historical places.

To provide students with skills in historical research and analysis.

To develop an ability to apply historical knowledge and skill in everyday life.

To study the past and understand present and future.
