About

Department of Microbiology established in the year2008 with a mission to promote and facilitate dissemination of knowledge and research in microbiology. The vision of the Microbiology Department is to provide up-to-date and holistic theoretical and Practical training for Student’s. Admitted students can have option of two subject groups for first degree level (B.Sc.).The Department is well-equipped with modern laboratories to provide quality teaching and research opportunities for students. A quite number of students qualified for CSIR- NET, SET, and GATE. Throughout the world, our alumni are held positions in research institutions, industry, and higher education.
          Considering rural and agro based life background and awareness about the general health and hygiene, our curriculum is designed to educate our pupil in various important microbiological domains, as well as to promote and develop skills and competencies that have lasting value further than the classroom.


Mission

• Provide a sound academic background for overall development of personality for a successful career in Microbiology.
• We aim to produce microbiologists of excellent caliber, who have acquired diagnostic skills of common and uncommon infectious etiologies, have developed good technical, research, and teaching skills, and at the time being sensitive to the needs of the society and environment while practicing ethical code of conduct.
