About

Department of Zoology established in academic session 1984-85 with beginning of Science Faculty. Zoology is one of the core subjects at B.Sc. level. Admitted students can have option of two/three subject groups for first degree level (B.Sc.).

“To Educate Students from Western Vidharbha and from Maharashtra by Providing Quality Education so that they become good Zoologist, Technologist, Academicians and Administrators, who in turn shall improve the quality of the Human race”.

Mission

• To educate students from the local and rural areas, so they become enlighten individuals improving the living standards of their Families, Industries and Society.
• To expose the life intricacies of the animal world.
• Conserve and maintain the bioresources of the region through technical support.
• To prepare Youths of the region to compete National and International Level through imparting training in fundamental and applied Zoology and allied disciplines to serve the society and the nation.
• To initiate in classical and modern aspects of life intricacies besides exploration, preservation and conservation of the local biological resources.
